For an 18th consecutive season, the Calgary Stampeders have clinched a berth in the Canadian Football League playoffs.

The Red and White’s 41-16 road victory against the BC Lions on Friday night combined with the Saskatchewan Roughriders’ 29-26 loss to the Toronto Argonauts on Saturday afternoon have allowed Calgary to lock up third place in the West Division.

After completing the regular season on Friday at McMahon Stadium with a game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (7 p.m., TSN, QR Calgary) the Stamps will return to Vancouver on Saturday, Nov. 4 to face the Lions in the Western Semi-Final.

The Stamps’ streak of 18 consecutive post-season appearances is the longest active run in the CFL and the fourth-longest in league history. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have the second-longest active string of playoff appearances at seven seasons.
